Study MP2 - A mobile payment study analysing different payment use cases
This study is the second one and builds on the results of the study MP1. The theoretical approach focuses on 40 concrete everyday situations (use cases), which can be subsumed to five payment scenarios. The research paper "Nutzungsszenarien für mobile Bezahlverfahren" (Eisenmann, Linck and Pousttchi, 2004) gives an overview about the customers' preferences. These preferences regarding the preferred settlement and the desired operator of the payment system in the payment scenarios mobile commerce (MC), electronic commerce (EC), stationary merchant automat (SMA), stationary merchant person (SMP) and customer-to-customer (C2C ) are analyzed based on the intuitive everyday situations (use cases). The aim was to analyze market movements and give specific recommendations for the design of the mobile payment procedure to the mobile payment service provider.
