About the Working Group

The Mobile Commerce Working Group is one of three working groups at the Chair for Business Informatics and Systems Engineering (WI2)of the University of Augsburg. Their main tasks are in the development of studies and concepts, execution of courses for students/graduands/MBA , consulting and project realizations in different subareas of mobile commerce, in particular in the fields mobile payment and mobile business processes.

Mobile Payments World 2008

The conference discuss the chances of Mobile Payment solutions for merchants and about the future of M-Payment in the retail industry. Key Pousttchi, Head of wi-mobile Research Group at the University of Augsburg, talks about the competitive strategies for banks. He analyses the options in respect to the changing M-Payment field and the resulting impacts for business modells.

This event deals with latest development and trends of mobile payment and ticketing. Microsoft Mobile Business Competence Center

The Microsoft Mobile Business Competence Center (MBCC) Augsburg is attached to the working group with the emphasis on mobile business processes. The MBCC offers consulting, concepts and prototypical implementation to the field of organization and integration of mobile business processes, in particular in SME, on the basis of Microsoft technologies.
